Hello
Overview
I figured that if I kept everything in one post that it would become tedious to read and won't have as much impact so I decided to make it into two. Moving on, after we received the criticisms we decided to revert back to our magazine and make the changes we urgently needed to change.
So as you can see we started making the changes; I decided it would be best if we made the magazine black and white as that it not a common convention for magazines so again it would make ours stand out from competitors and additionally it went along with our colour schemes. We also changed the colour of Damnation but it felt it could stand out more. Once we were finished we showed this to our teacher who said we needed a link from the poster to the magazine so that people would know that they are the same thing. Additionally our teacher said that we should change the font and that the picture looked out of placed. So again we took this criticism on.
I worked really hard in getting the magazine to a professional standard and this is the finished product. As you can see there have been drastic changes and that the colour scheme has changed so that grey is a more dominant colour. A red cross has been put into the background so that the magazine and the poster link with the trailer and the theme of religion. The cross is also an off-red just like the poster for continuity. The damnation has been changed to red as I thought this would make it stand out better, especially with a white background. Additionally, this is how this specific title looks within the trailer and on the poster so I wanted to keep it consistent. We also added a button so that it breaks up the magazine a bit and I believe it just makes the magazine front cover look better. The photo has been moved to the right so that the font can be read more clearly. The writing underneath the Damnation has been changed so that it links with the photo more and Total Film is more bold as it has a shadow on it. I'm really happy with how the magazine looks.
